SCTA Wildflower Triathlons Club Competition Preview

In my opinion, SCTA is sending it's GREATEST TEAM EVER down to Lake San Antonio this year. With the new event website some of the history of the team results have been lost but they have retained the 3 club competitions they've had previously and I have a record of how SCTA has done previously! Tri-Club Challenge From the website: The three clubs with the most accumulated points from all club members for the weekend will receive custom awards. Scoring: 5 points for each finisher. Then for each 1st – 10th place age group finisher, they receive points in the following manner: 1st place gets 10 pts, 2nd get 9 pts, etc… 10th place gets 1 pts. IM 70.3 Oceanside Race Report

Since I’m on my high after completing IM 70.3 Oceanside, I decided to write a race report for those curious about the race. I loved cheering our members on last year during their 70.3s and Fulls. Racing a 70.3 was entirely different experience than I expected! I came out of it with much more respect for those of you who have done Full IMs. You’re badasses. I hope you know that. Pre-Race We received our Athlete Guides about 3 weeks before the race. Four things stood out to me after reading the entire thing. First, you cannot preview the bike course due to the heightened security at Camp Pendleton. Second, you must wear your race bib on the bike and make sure it’s clearly visible at all times.
