SCTA's Weekend of Global Domination

The weekend kicked off with representation at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Nice with Jon Erskine coming 199th out of 507 in the 45-49 age group flying the SCTA flag.

Then it was on to to the Santa Cruz Ironman 70.3. SCTA had the most representation of any club (36) except one, Golden Gate Triathlon Club (51). We were also SO close to the team's podium finishing in 6th place but smashing other well established local clubs that are supposed to be better than us like purplepatch and Kain Performance.

We also had 4 individual podium finishes at Ironman Santa Cruz 70.3:

3rd Ana England (65-69 age group)

4th Jen Vroomen (30-34 age group)

5th Jen Connet (30-34 age group)

5th Annie Warr (60-64 age group)

Jen Vroomen's time of 5:10:54 was also a SCTA half ironman distance club records.

But that's not all! The performance also catapulted us to 31st (out of 1037) in the Global Ironman Rankings and 4th in the U.S.
